“rightful place on the national sports stage”?

Y’know, I’m all for a politician who seeks to improve lives in the overlooked little ways like weight loss, but the national sports stage is not something I particularly aspire to. Marty’s better stage is introducing the acts in the summer concert series out on Coney Island (I’d swear he did a 40-minute monolog for Todd Rundgren’s Beatles cover band four years ago.)

Now, I’m actually pro-development, but it’s sad that a sports franchise would be seen as the anchor behind it. What happens in ten years?
